Go out of number 37 and turn right. Go straight down to the river. Then turn right at the square here and keep going until you get to the saltings.

You can either wander around in these to look at birds or continue along the road until you get to the estuary proper. From here there is a ferry to take you out to an island and the Atlantic shore.

You can also get a little tourist train from the square which saves the 3km out to the estuary. This is a lovely day out.
